Antique Lace Impressions in Clay

This pendant was created with a mold of original antique lace.  I press the lace into the clay using a slab roller.  The lace is removed and the clay is dried for several days, then fired to bisque creating the mold.  I can now press clay into areas of the lace mold and combine it with other textures to create an original design.

In this photo I show the process from Lace to Mold to Pendant.
